Pixel Hacks II
The Bay Area's First All-Female Hackathon Is Back
Date: January 27-28, 2018
PixelHacks, the Bay Area’s first student-run, all-female high school hackathon, was founded on a mission to bridge the gender gap in the technology field and encourage all high school girls to be exposed to computer science. As a student-run hackathon, we aim to persuade everyone, including programming beginners, that anyone is able to code. At PixelHacks I in 2017, nearly 75 high school girls attended the 26-hour overnight hackathon, and with the help of sponsors, the event was entirely free for all students. Teens Transforming Technology is thrilled to partner with PixelHacks to host PixelHacks II so that together, we can reach an even larger audience of high school women.
